MakerDAO, a prominent DeFi lending protocol and creator of the stablecoin DAI, has launched a $1.35 million audit contest, the largest in the DeFi sector.
This contest, part of the Endgame project set to launch in the summer of 2024, aims to engage top security experts and new researchers to identify system vulnerabilities.
Running from July 8 to August 5 on the Sherlock Platform, the initiative underscores MakerDAO’s commitment to security.
Co-founder Rune Christensen and a MakerDAO spokesperson highlighted the project’s emphasis on robust security measures.
Sherlock’s co-founder, Jack Sanford, praised the collaboration, noting the participation of top security experts. Before the contest, educational sessions will be held, including a code walkthrough with the MakerDAO team.
