PancakeSwap, a popular multi-chain DEX, has announced a community reward program from July 5 to August 5, distributing over 2.45 million zkSync (ZK) tokens to appreciate support for the zkSync PancakeSwap deployment since July 2023.
Both longstanding contributors and newcomers are eligible for the airdrop. Users must connect their wallets to the PancakeSwap platform to claim tokens, with unclaimed tokens reallocated for future projects.
Since launching on zkSync Era, PancakeSwap has introduced several features, surpassed $3 billion in trading volume, and engaged over 1.9 million traders. The team emphasizes their commitment to rewarding and growing their community.
The zkSync token airdrop has raised questions about its market impact. It is available to active users, veCAKE holders, and past contributors, aiming to boost platform growth by including future liquidity providers and traders.
Despite a strong start to the year, PancakeSwap’s native token, CAKE, has seen its price drop from $4 in February to $1.73, including a 45% decline in the past month.
The crypto community is watching to see if the airdrop will positively affect ZK’s price amid ongoing volatility and controversy surrounding zkSync.
