Visa has announced a new partnership with Coinbase to enable instant cryptocurrency transactions for customers using eligible Visa Direct debit cards.
This collaboration allows Visa users to instantly buy, deposit, and withdraw crypto on the Coinbase platform, offering enhanced flexibility in managing and trading digital assets.
Visa highlighted that real-time funding through eligible debit cards will allow Coinbase users to quickly capitalize on trading opportunities, especially during high-demand periods for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
Depending on bank and regional factors, the service will be available in the U.S. and the EU. Powered by Visa Direct, the feature aims to bridge traditional finance with blockchain, reducing wait times for fund access.
Visa’s Yanilsa Gonzalez Ore expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the convenience it provides Coinbase users, who can now move funds in real-time, day or night.
