Binance is strengthening its compliance efforts, planning to expand its compliance team to 645 full-time staff by year-end, a 34% increase from November 2023, alongside over 1,000 compliance-focused personnel, including contractors.
Chief Compliance Officer Noah Perlman highlighted Binance’s 20 global regulatory milestones and its robust compliance framework, comparable to traditional financial institutions.
The exchange has made key hires, including former PayPal executive Todd McElduff and law enforcement experts Caner Akyürek and Céline Inial, to enhance its regulatory readiness. Binance has nearly met its 2024 staffing goal for its Risk team, with 137 out of 138 positions filled.
These initiatives aim to ensure user safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth as Binance navigates the expanding cryptocurrency landscape.
