Trump’s Meme Coin Dinner Meeting Sparks Impeachment Call

U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff has called for President Donald Trump’s impeachment after reports revealed plans for a private dinner with top holders of the Official Trump meme coin.

Speaking at an April 25 town hall, Ossoff accused Trump of “selling access” to his office, describing it as an impeachable offense. However, he acknowledged that any impeachment efforts would be difficult unless Democrats retake Congress in the 2026 elections.

The controversy stems from an April 23 announcement offering a dinner at Trump’s Washington, D.C., golf club to the top 220 holders of the TRUMP token. Following the news, the token surged over 50%.

Attendance requirements include passing background checks, following KYC regulations, and attending without guests.

The TRUMP team clarified that eligibility is based on a time-weighted leaderboard and not simply wallet balance, with the 220th spot requiring around $400 worth of tokens. Tokens from cliff unlocks and daily distributions will stay locked for an additional 90 days after the contest ends.
