Stripe’s USDC Transfers Surpass $100 Million Across Polygon, Ethereum, Base

Global fintech leader Stripe is rapidly expanding its use of stablecoins, with monthly USDC transfers now exceeding $15 million, according to cryptocurrency researcher Alex Obchakevich. In September 2025, Stripe reached a new milestone, processing over $17 million in USDC transactions — its highest monthly total to date — with Polygon (POL) leading the pack over Ethereum (ETH).

Stripe’s Global Financial Accounts service has now handled more than $100 million in USDC transfers across Polygon, Ethereum, and Base combined. Since May 2025, Polygon has consistently processed more value than Ethereum, signaling growing demand for faster and cheaper blockchain solutions.

Breakdown of processed volume shows Polygon handling $51 million, Ethereum at $48 million, and Base contributing $3 million. The service, available in over 100 countries, relies on Paxos to manage the technical aspects of its stablecoin integration.

The surge in Stripe’s blockchain activity underscores a broader industry trend in 2025: traditional payment platforms are increasingly embracing stablecoins. Just last week, PayPal introduced Aave incentives for its PYUSD stablecoin, while Ripple President Monica Long highlighted institutional adoption of stablecoins as one of the year’s most significant developments.

Despite regulatory and technical hurdles, these integrations are accelerating stablecoin use worldwide. As of press time, the total stablecoin market supply stands at $310 billion, reflecting their growing importance in the global financial landscape.
