Avalanche Unveils Visa Card for Crypto Payments

Avalanche has launched the Avalanche Visa Card, enabling users to make crypto payments with assets like WAVAX, USDC, and sAVAX at any Visa-accepting location.

Available in physical and virtual formats, the card was initially rolled out in Latin America and the Caribbean, with expansion plans. It allows crypto spending at millions of merchants worldwide and includes security features like spending alerts and PIN changes.

The card is not linked to traditional banks, so it doesn’t affect credit scores, offering users more control over their funds. Avalanche aims to bridge the gap between digital currencies and traditional finance, promoting broader crypto adoption.

Additionally, Avalanche is partnering with Chainlink to enhance blockchain infrastructure and has announced a $45.5 million buyback of AVAX tokens from the Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) as part of a bankruptcy settlement. AVAX is currently trading at around $27.80, down 1.8% in the last 24 hours.
