Bankrate Survey Reveals Americans Are More Willing to Invest in Gold Than Bitcoin

Bankrate

A recent survey revealed that more Americans are interested in investing in gold rather than Bitcoin. The survey by consumer financial services provider Bankrate showed the participants’ investment preference over the next ten years.

Apart from gold and crypto, the participants had five other investing options they could pick from, including real estate. Other offered options include cash, savings or certificates of deposits (CDs), stocks, and bonds. Also, there were options for “none of these” and “don’t know or refused.”

Bankrate asked the participants to pick one of the available investment options for money they will not need over the ten years. Real estate had the highest vote as 28% of all participants selected the option as their most preferable. 25% chose the cash, savings, or CDs option, while 16% are willing to invest in stocks. Furthermore, 13% picked gold, 9% preferred Bitcoin and other cryptos, and 4% went for bonds.

Also, 4% said that they are not willing to invest in any of the options provided by Bankrate, while 2% picked the “don’t know or refused” option.

A major percentage of the survey participants revealed that they are either “not too comfortable” or “not comfortable at all” with cryptocurrency. On the other hand, millennials between ages 25 and 37 are showing huge interest in digital coins.
