According to an official announcement from Bitcoin Suisse, a digital currency financial services company based in Switzerland, a letter of intent and partnership has been signed which will open up crypto adoption in the country. Bitcoin Suisse says that this partnership with the firm will allow millions of customers to make payments to Swiss merchants whether online or in their respective stores via Bitcoin
The company says that the feature will bank on an already existing infrastructure from Worldline’s SIX Payment Service, which already powers payments all over the country. Bitcoin Suisse CEO Dr. Arthur Vayloyan stresses the relationship between both companies as a key ingredient to push crypto adoption.
“Our partnership with Worldline is a major step forward on the journey to bring crypto payments into broader adoption. Bitcoin Suisse is proud to serve as the processor of cryptocurrencies in Worldline’s payment service system.”
In addition, Worldline CEO Marc Schluep has also stressed that the partnership will allow merchants to expand their customer base to more pro-crypto people “without taking any conversion risk.”
Bitcoin Suisse hopes to take advantage of Worldline’s very extensive network which is already being used by over 85,000 Swiss merchants. Building on the network, both merchants and customers are assured that cryptocurrency payments will be very smooth and secure. Bitcoin Suisse has also said that the payouts to be received by merchants will be available in either Euros or Swiss Francs.
Back in February, Switzerland’s third-largest bank Julius Baer, announced its intention to offer cryptocurrency services.
