The Dallas Mavericks basketball team now supports crypto and has begun a cashback program. Fans of the NBA team can now use Dogecoin (DOGE) to buy merch from the Dallas Maverick’s online score.
The team is also offering an incentive. For every $150 any fan spends in a single transaction, the person will receive an e-gift card worth $25.
Back in March, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban announced that the team would roll out support for crypto purchases on the online store. The recent “Mavs Cryptomania” deal has confirmed it, opening the team’s market to include persons holding crypto.
Fans can also use DOGE to pay for suite tickets and lower-level seats at all Mavericks home games.
Apart from his ownership of the Dallas Mavericks, Cuban is also known as a DOGE and crypto supporter. In 2019, Dallas Mavericks became one of the first NBA franchises to support bitcoin payments for merchandise and tickers. It was also the first to support DOGE payments for both categories.
Cuban has also confirmed that purchases are better with DOGE. According to him:
“We sell more Mavs merchandise for DOGE on a typical day…than we did in a year with BTC or ETH.”
