Dogecoin (DOGE) Hits Over 5 Million Wallets Addresses for First Time

Dogecoin (DOGE) has achieved a significant milestone, with over 5 million cryptocurrency addresses holding the coin, indicating a growing user base.

The network activity of Dogecoin has seen a notable increase, with active addresses reaching 168,000, the highest level since March 2022.

The Dogecoin blockchain has experienced a substantial surge in confirmed transactions, growing by 1,000% in the last 10 days and reaching the highest level since June.

The cryptocurrency’s price recently surpassed the $0.08 resistance level, partly attributed to Coinbase’s announcement of offering perpetual futures contracts on Dogecoin, expanding its appeal to investors.

Additionally, an upcoming space mission planning to send a physical Dogecoin to the moon on December 23rd via SpaceX has generated excitement among Dogecoin enthusiasts, with hopes that the coin’s price will reach $0.10 before and after the historic event.

Last week, Dogecoin also made headlines when Carl Erik Rinsch, the director of Netflix’s sci-fi series Conquest, reportedly used $4 million from the show’s budget to buy Dogecoin and made $27 million in profit.
