According to Tim Beiko of the Ethereum Foundation, the Ethereum core developers are planning a new testnet dubbed Holli in response to difficulty purchasing ETH on the blockchain’s principal test networks.
The Ethereum Core Development Team has announced the launch of a new testnet called Holli. This testnet is designed to facilitate experimentation and innovation on the Ethereum network. The Holli testnet will provide developers with a platform to test and develop new applications, smart contracts, and other decentralized services in a safe and secure environment.
A new testnet, Holli, is planned to launch later this year, and hopefully we can figure out these things before then! I’ve made two suggestions on the repo, and would love to hear from application layer devs about how we could better approach this!
