Ethereum ETFs Possible Next Week Following Bitwise’s Amended S-1

Bitwise has filed an amended S-1 form for an Ethereum ETF ahead of its July 8 deadline, suggesting a near launch.

Analysts expect the ETFs could be listed within two weeks. The SEC hasn’t specified a timeline, but approval might come by next week.

Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart noted other issuers might follow suit soon, with potential listings by mid-July. The SEC approved forms for eight Ethereum ETFs, including Bitwise, on May 23. Approval of S-1 statements is still needed before trading begins.

The SEC previously returned S-1 forms to several prospective Ethereum ETF issuers with “light comments,” possibly the final round of feedback.

Bitwise’s amended form includes a waiver of the sponsor fee for the first $500 million in assets, though the firm has not disclosed the fee amount.

VanEck also announced it would waive fees initially. Despite delays, indications point to a launch this month. Bitwise will waive the sponsor fee for the first $500 million in assets.
