Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko has addressed the issues plaguing the Solana blockchain ecosystem by identifying and patching the bug responsible for reduced functionality. The network’s struggle to handle the high demand for meme coins led to a record 75% of user transactions failing.

Yakovenko assured the community that the glitch has been fixed, but acknowledged challenges in implementing other crucial updates. Andre Cronje attributed Solana’s problems to its success and overwhelming demand for blockspace, while Solana co-founder Raj Gokal assured users of ongoing efforts to improve transaction submission experiences.

The Solana network has faced complaints about transaction-related issues, with an estimated 77% failure rate. To address network congestion, the Solana Foundation announced measures like optimizing computing unit (CU) usage. Despite challenges, Solana has seen a surge in project influx, particularly meme coins like Bonk and Dogwifhat.

Blockchain expert Dagnum-PI highlighted Solana’s congestion issues, suggesting that the actual transactions per second (TPS) may be lower than the market. He noted significant ping times, ping loss, and transaction failures, indicating the need for further optimization.
