Mcafee Announces Launch of GHOST Distributed Exchange

Ethereum

Controversial crypto advocate and businessman, John Mcafee, has taken his GHOST distributed exchange (DEX) live.

Mcafee announced it on Twitter on Sunday, June 21. The brief tweet reads:

“The GHOST Distributed exchange is now live.”

According to its website, GHOST is simply a Proof of Stake (PoS) privacy coin that turns its users into “nothing but ‘ghosts’ when transacting online.”

Mcafee’s decision to launch the GHOST DEX is for the new platform to serve as a replacement for the now-defunct McafeeDEX. The new service will be launched on Monday, June 22, 2020.

The launch is coming just one month after allegations of crypto plagiarism by PIVX, a crypto privacy project. PIVX, in a tweet, alleged that GHOST by Mcafee was “blatantly plagiarizing” its 2018 whitepaper.

Although Mcafee affirmed the allegations, the ever-controversial businessman said he will sue PIVX for defamation.

Ironically, PIVX itself is planning on copying some parts of Zcash’s zk-SNARKS open-source protocol to be launched sometime in the last quarter of 2020.

In a May 19 tweet, Mcafee said that it is fraudulent to declare a software product as open-source yet its withhold documentation. This “scam”, he believes, is what PIVX is doing. He added his intention to prove this in the court of law. Unlike GHOST, however, PIVX has no ownership entity. There is no particular person to sue.

McAfee also recently announced his Ghost Cell Phone Data Service service that lets users be anonymous.,
