Popular adult entertainment platform, Pornhub, has added to the number of cryptocurrencies it currently accepts on its platform. Pornhub now accepts payment in both Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC).
Before now, Pornhub had gone the crypto way, accepting a few other cryptocurrencies. In addition to BTC and LTC, the platform also accepts assets such as Tether (USDT), Verge (XVG), Tron (TRX), PumaPay (PMA), and Horizen (ZEN).
In a recent press release, Pornhub vice president, Corey Price, suggested that the platform is focused on innovation, and eager to try out new technology:
“Our team continues to pave the way for tech development, testing and implementing new technology for everyday consumers.”
Back in November, PayPal had discontinued the use of its platform for live payments for models on the Pornhub platform. According to Pornhub at the time, the decision left the adult company “devastated” as more than a hundred thousand models ran into problems. Pornhub then suggested XVG for models. At the time, both Verge and Pornhub were already in partnership.
In January this year, Pornhub announced that all models on its platform will be able to receive payments using Tether’s USDT. The decision to use USDT helps the models to keep the value of their earnings in a stablecoin, as opposed to the fluctuations typical of other crypto assets.
