Survey Finds That Over 50% of Institutional Investors Expect Crypto Correction in 2022

Crypto Correction

According to a new global study, more than half of institutional investors are banking on the crypto market correcting itself next year. The majority of these institutions expect leading crypto Bitcoin (BTC) as well as other tokens to reverse gains by 2022. Handled by Natixis Investment Managers, the survey considered a wide array of respondents. These include 500 institutional investors from 29 countries across Asia, North America and Latin America. Natixis’ survey also covered the Middle East, Continental Europe, and the United Kingdom. The survey officially read:

“Given all the factors at play, institutions see the potential for corrections in a range of asset classes and sectors. Hugely popular cryptocurrency tops the list with more than half of institutions calling for a correction. This is followed by interest-rate-sensitive bonds (45%), stocks (41%) and technology (39%).”

Natixis Investment Managers’ survey revealed that despite a looming retracement of the crypto market, institutional investors are not backing down. The survey found that four out of ten institutional investors considered crypto a legitimate investment option. It further stated that “of the 28% who invest in crypto, 90% say they will maintain (62%) or increase (28%) their allocation.”

Despite this however, most of these surveyed investors also believe that the crypto space requires better oversight to gain a stronger footing in mainstream affairs.
