President Donald Trump is set to unveil a Bitcoin reserve strategy at the White House Crypto Summit, reinforcing his commitment to digital finance. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that Bitcoin would receive special status under the initiative, with execution expected on Friday.
The summit, chaired by David Sacks and Congressman Bo Hines, will bring together key industry figures like Michael Saylor, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, and Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev. While attendance is limited, a larger reception will be held for those not in the roundtable discussions.
This move aligns with Executive Order 14178, which supports crypto industry growth while designating Bitcoin as a strategic asset. Trump has also hinted that a “U.S. Crypto Reserve” could include XRP, Solana, Cardano, Ethereum, and other major cryptocurrencies.
The summit is expected to outline regulatory plans that could significantly impact the global crypto market, marking a potential turning point for the industry.
