Uniswap Wallet Goes Live on Android, Here’s What To Know

Uniswap has officially released the full version of its wallet app to all Android users following a successful beta testing phase initiated last month. As the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) in the crypto ecosystem, Uniswap’s app introduces a user-friendly mobile interface.

In a Tuesday announcement, Uniswap revealed that app users can now swap tokens across eight different blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, and Arbitrum. The app consolidates token and NFT management in one place, allowing users to monitor other traders and view balances in six new languages and 18 new currencies.

Notably, the app ensures protection from Miner Extractable Value (MEV), securing swaps within a private transaction pool and shielding them from frontrunning and “sandwich attacks.”

Originally launched for iOS users in April, the Android version addresses numerous device sizes and configurations, with the beta phase instrumental in refining the product based on user feedback, according to Callil Capuozzo, Uniswap Labs’ Vice President of Design.

To celebrate the Android launch, Uniswap is offering a giveaway of 10 USDC to ten randomly selected users. Uniswap presently holds a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $3.63 billion, ranking as the fifth-largest DeFi protocol, with its native token UNI holding a market cap of $3.8 billion.
