Yuga Labs Co-Founder Reveals Major Bored Apes Plans

Greg Solano, co-founder of Yuga Labs, has outlined his plans for the Bored Apes franchise. In an update on his official X account, Solano committed to regular updates based on his 10-day check-ins.

Since its debut as the largest digital collector series, Yuga Labs has aimed to create functional products. Despite acknowledging the company’s lack of depth and mastery of these products, Solano highlighted several exciting upgrades.

He discussed the ODK, considered the gold standard for creating and monetizing crypto-based social experiences and 3D games, showing Yuga Labs’ investment in game-centric innovation.

Solano mentioned Web3 developers working on Project Dragon, a first-person shooter with a unique team combat plot, using the same tools as for ODK.

In addition to various “brand expressions,” Solano introduced ApeFest, an event where thousands of Bored Ape owners from 56 countries will gather at a 15th-century monastery. He assured that merchandise for the event would be made and delivered as planned.

Solano also revealed that Yuga Labs is exploring integrating BAYC with other tangible goods to further enrich the Yuga Labs ecosystem.
