BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum ETF (ETHA) has rapidly surpassed $10 billion in assets under management (AUM), achieving this milestone in just 251 days, making it the third-fastest ETF in history to do so.

This meteoric rise saw ETHA double its AUM from $5 billion in merely 10 days. Notably, the top three fastest-growing ETFs ever are now all spot crypto funds: ETHA, alongside BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) and Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), both of which hit $10 billion in under a year.

This unprecedented speed underscores surging investor demand for regulated digital asset exposure, as noted by Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas and NovaDius Wealth Management president Nate Geraci.

Following the SEC’s approval in July 2024, U.S.-listed Ethereum ETFs have collectively attracted $8.32 billion in net inflows, with BlackRock’s ETHA leading the charge.

Record daily inflows, including a peak of $726.74 million on July 16, further highlight Ethereum’s growing institutional acceptance and its emergence as a standalone legitimate institutional asset, moving beyond being merely “Bitcoin’s little sibling.”
