Major Swiss Departmental Stores Begin In-Store Bitcoin Gift Card Offerings

Bitcoin

Valora and Manor, two of Switzerland’s largest departmental store chains, are offering Bitcoin gift cards in their stores. As more companies get in on the crypto market, large chains like the aforementioned are making sure they aren’t missing out on market offers.

According to reports, Manor has already started selling Bitcoin gift cards. The company, which is currently the country’s largest, has Bitcoin voucher cards on sale in 59 branches countrywide. Called Crypto now vouchers, the gift cards currently on sale at Manor branches are created by Vardex Suisse, a crypto firm. The firm is a subsidiary of Bitcoin Suisse, a major crypto exchange in the company.

Although Valora has not yet started, the company plans to kick off Bitcoin gift card sales in April.

The Vardex Suisse Head of Operations, Simon Grylka, has spoken on what Crypto now offers. According to Grylka, the vouchers present an easy way for interested persons to adopt cryptocurrency. Grylka says that the move would be especially welcome by persons who are currently averse to crypto because of the relative difficulty or unease in acquiring assets.

Globally, there is an increase in Bitcoin adoption as a medium of exchange. Companies such as Bitrefill offers crypto e-commerce services in 170 countries. The company also runs its business with more than 1,600 companies, including big names like Walmart, Uber, Nintendo, and Amazon.
