Shiba Inu Now Finally Listed on Europe’s Largest Exchange, Bitstamp

The Shiba Inu is now officially listed on Bitstamp. The exchange made the announcement today. The decision to list the Shiba Inu was made in December 2021. However, the Bitstamp team was experiencing technical difficulties with the SHIB listing at the time, which caused the listing to be paused and delayed.

However, the wait appears to be over now that Bitstamp has formally announced the listing. The listing is a great accomplishment for the meme coin. The popular meme coin will be traded against the US dollar and the Euro. Transfers will be available as early as Monday on the trading platform.

Beginning Tuesday, order books will be offered in a limited-time-only mode. Limit orders placed by users will be matched during the same day.

Shiba Inu has been recognized as one of the most successful success stories by Bitstamp, which was founded in 2011. The Luxembourg-based crypto exchange reassured Shiba Inu supporters in mid-December that it had not changed its mind about the listing.

It took almost half a year for Europe’s leading crypto trading platform to finally deliver on that promise. Bitstamp is noted for its stringent regulatory compliance and the cautious listing policy.

Julian Sawyer, the former CEO of Bitstamp, denied the idea of listing meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin in August. Sawyer quit his job a month ago. JB Graftieaux, who formerly led the exchange’s European operations, has been named its new global CEO.

SHIB has lately found its way to Robinhood. At the time of writing, SHIB was trading at $0.00001102. It still has a long way to go to reach its all-time high of $0.00008845.
