Solana’s Mini Royale: Nations Reaches 2 Million in Total Registered Users

Solana’s

Solana’s first live multiplayer game, Mini Royale: Nations has hit 2 million since the launch of its first in-game NFTs. Of the 2 million registered users, 600,000 are monthly active users (MAU). This means that Mini Royale: Nations now has more than doubled its previous MAU high target set in November.

Mini Royale: Nations, a first-person shooter, was available to play for months as a web-based free-to-play online multiplayer game without blockchain technology. Eventually, gaming developer Faraway introduced a series of 10,000 in-game items in the form of Solana NFTs on December 9th. The gaming developer then activated the aforementioned NFT items within the game on December 16th.

Faraway asserts that the NFT sale raked in about $1.3 million and sold out in 30 seconds. Furthermore, owners who retain possession of their NFTs throughout Mini Royale: Nations’ first in-game season will be privy to more perks.

Faraway co-founder Alex Paley stated that the company is refraining from marketing Mini Royale: Nations as a play-to-earn game. This is so as not to alienate some gamers who may have an issue with wholly NFT-centric games.

Early last month, Faraway announced that it had raised $30 million in seed funds to date. The last investment round was co-led by crypto exchange FTX as well as Lightspeed Venture Partners. In addition, other participating investors were Andreessen Horowitz, Solana, Jump Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Pantera Capital.
